CONCEPT

A 24 ‘ x 18’ multi-layered mural with geometric and  organic forms with architectural motifs with a modern twist that compliments the existing plywood structure. This mural is composed of the existing plywood, stained and painted with the addition of multi-layered components. The multi-layered components are painted of a marine plywood to keep the aesthetic of the clean edge and surface. The mural incorporates a silhouette of the greater bay area, suggestions of a blueprint, and the native madrone. The black silhouette spans across Berkeley, Oakland, San Francisco, Redwood City, and San Jose, all related to major projects fulfilled by estructure. The seal at the upper right notes the certification seal of all designs issued by estructure. Reading top left to right and top left to bottom left are translation of the president’s hand writing. The madrone is a hearty native species to the California coastline that depicts the strength, structural integrity and longevity that estructure applies to their projects for new building and earthquake retrofit.
