Space Donuts are an exploration of the torus form and 1960’s space age design. The forms are elegant, bright and reminiscent of 1960’s sci-fi design. These sculptures are composed of plywood, hard board, masonite, letterpress relief ink, spray paint, polyurethane, laser cut photo stencils, and hand forged blackened steel. This series is a Space Donuts were exhibited at The Compound Gallery in Oakland in a group show titled Laserbeam Technomania, an exhibition of laser cut sculpture, paintings and works on paper.
