CONCEPT

A 23’ sculpture of unfinished wood trunks evoking a sense of vintage travel with a crisp modern twist. This whimsical 16’ sculpture is composed of a stack of unfinished wooden trunks on a 3’ high pedestal. Approximately 20 trunks of various dimensions will be stacked creating a mighty tower of travel. The structure will be supported by an unseen central steel column with a steel plate base which will be anchored to the concrete floor. Additional anchoring will be done with one or more steel braces to the second story mezzanine. Trunks will be secured to one another in addition to the central post.

This whimsical sculpture is composed of a stack of unfinished wooden trunks on a 5’ x 5’ x 3’ high pedestal with an internal steel support built from 4” x 4” 1/4” steel square tubing. Approximately 23 trunks of various dimensions are stacked creating a mighty tower of travel.
